Ruling in Terry v. Ohio, on June 10, 1968, the majority opinion declared, “The revolver seized from petitioner was properly admitted into evidence against him, since the search which led to its seizure was reasonable under the Fourth Amandment.”
The question presented was:
“[W]hether the admission of the revolvers in evidence violated petitioner’s rights under the Fourth Amendment, made applicable to the States by the Fourteenth.”
