Republishing Guidelines

Generation Liberty is published by One Generation Away. We want this material read and taught, so the terms below grant standing permission for the two things people ask for most: classroom use and full-article republication. You do not need to write to us first for either one.

In the classroom

Teachers may print, copy and distribute Generation Liberty articles and quizzes for use with their own students, without asking and at no cost. Keep the headline, the author's name and the date on the copy.

On another site

If you want to republish an article in full, the terms are:

• Wait 24 hours after we publish before you run it.
• Run the body as written, with the author's byline. You may change the headline to suit your site.
• Credit Generation Liberty and link back to the original article on generationliberty.com.
• Do not present it as your own reporting, or imply we endorse you.
• Do not put it behind a paywall or sell it on. Running ads on your own page is fine.

What is not covered

Photographs, illustrations and video are frequently licensed from other parties, and the license covering them does not extend to you. Clear images separately with whoever holds the rights, or replace them.

Excerpts and quotes

Quoting a passage with attribution and a link is normal practice and needs no permission at all.

Asking

Anything outside the above (translations, anthologies, commercial licensing) should go to the editorial team first. See the contact page.
